Where my treasure is . . .

A picture Dave took and developed. a family trip to the Great Smoky Mountains. My treasure? the man behind the camera and all of the people in this picture. All club scrap paper, ribbons and fiber. HS chip board heart and ghost words.

Silly Cousins

Picture of my cousin on her last visit to Chicago land area. We are originally from the East Coast. We took her to Gino's East Pizzeria in Chicago. Having her around was so much fun, we actually played like two little girls. All of the paper is club scrap. I altered it with old dictionary pages I mod podged on the card stock. This was a fun and simple layout.

Beautiful Expression

So the real reason I decided to join the cyber-word and create a blog was to show my friends and family my layouts. Here is one of none other than my granddaughter Isabella. Isabella is really a ham - she loves the camera and the camera really loves her. Here she is with her Auntie Khalila. Making all kinds of beautiful expressions.

The Little Book of Eastern Wisdom

"If you do not know how to keep still in this crazy world, you will be drawn into all kinds of unneccessary trouble. You will lose your view of the way, when you realize it, it will be too late for in losing the way, you have also lost yourself."

Look what's GROWING in my garden

Two days ago the only thing blooming in my garden were spring flowers. Two days of intense heat and now look what is growing there. I wonder is that a perennial?

All grown up

On May 4th my youngest daughter attended the prom at her school. As she got out of the car I realized that she was no longer a little girl. Sure, this has been an ongoing process - but today wham!! Right in my face. I was looking at a beautiful young lady, my little girl is all grown up. She graduates high school in a couple of days and although she has been telling us she's not ready to "grow up" now it was I, who was not ready for her to be grown up. It was with a mixture of emotions that I took her pictures. For now I'll share one.

The Color Purple

This flower is planted in our front yard. It lives in the flower bed on the side of the driveway. When I took this shot, I was thinking of how wonderful nature is. It gives us the it's gift of sound, smell and beauiful color like this color purple.
