Journaling reads:

3 is the number of times you have come and gone since you've been in the Marines. Three times - not knowing when I would See you again. This time though it's been pretty hard. The uncertainty of it all. My son I am so proud of you! And the only thing I can do is pray for your safe return every single day. I miss you I love you. July 2007
