Busy Week

It's been another busy week and I am so grateful it's friday. Today is my hubby's birthday - Happy Birthday Babe!! I just posted a few of the layouts I worked on this week. There are a few more but maybe I'll post later.
Right now - gotta take care of dinner. Just wanted to share these beauties from our yard.

6X6 Canvas

Canvas of my daughters senior picture. Paper is Creative Imaginations by Marah Johnson, ribbon is Lady Chiffon at Joanns, Chipboard (that has been distressed) is Fancy Pants design, chipboard heart(also distressed)is Heidi Swapp, vintage button, rhinestones are Club Scrap, cross is mainstays, Cameo buttons is Dritz, ghost musical note is recycled plastic cut with Sizzix and Crystal alphabet is Mark Richards.
I really like how this turned out. It was easy and fast.

Best Friends

Khalila and her best friend Alexis
High School Prom - senior year 2007
Aren't they beautiful? My little girl is all grown up!

Me

Here is one that is a bit different for me. It's a Cocoa Daisy mid-month challenge titled 5 Facts About you. I used the June kit and hand cut the swirls. MM chipboard frame I cut to use as corners. My printer decided to mess up my picture so I had to reprint it several times - in the end I decided to use all three of them.

Dulce Corazon - (Sweet Heart)

I used Cocoa Daisy kit for June - Visit Cocoa Daisy's Gallery, these are fun papers and embellishments to work with and I used Pencil lines sketch #37 Also posted on the Pencil lines Gallery, they make scrapbooking easy!

Breathe

This is an 8X8 l.o. that sits right in front of my scrap table. It is meant to be a constant reminder for me to slow down! Quote reads
"If you do not know how to keep still in this crazy world, you will be drawn into all kinds of unnecessary trouble. You will lose your view of the way, when you realize it, it will be to late, for in losing the way, you have also lost yourself."

Niagra Falls

These are 3 layouts done for my Childrens albums. Instead of copying one 3 times, I made three different ones. They can chose which one they want. We had an awesome time on our trip to Canada.
I used all club scrap materials including beads from the collections kits. Love the colors of that kit.

Friends

These girls have been best friends since middle school. This week they graduated not only with honors but also making top 10% of their graduating class. I am so proud of all of them.

Natures Beauty

Basic Grey paper, QK leaves and Bazzil paper.

Linger Childhood

These pictures are a little dark but these pictures and layout are one of my favorites for the following reasons:
Parenting is an interesting concept. It seems like it takes forever for your baby to talk, sit, be potty trained. Then the next thing you know they are going to school. And shortly thereafter - graduation. Well, I created this l.o. of my two younest children.
Journaling reads: Time is passing by way to fast. Before I know it, this woud have been a distant memory to you both. Remember? We took a "well day" off of school and off of work and we spent it together, playing and eating and having fun. I love this pictue of the two of you playing in the sand. No worries, no problems, no stress, just the sand, the water and us, just you being children.
In the next couple of yeers you will transform into adults an these precious moments will be gone. I want to hold on to yor childhood just a little longer - so go ahead and play and laugh and build sand castles and enjoy your childhood - I will hold on to these moments just a little longer.

Sisters

Journaling reads:
I hope you always "respect and joy" in each others lives. Although you are not sisters by blood - you are sisters by love. You have shared the same bedroom, books, jewelry and some times clothes. You have had your little spats, but in this picture I see true admiration and love. I hope you will always be there for each other - always be there to lean on. Life can, at times, be very difficult - it's always comforting to know your sister is just a phone call away.
Quote says The bond that links your true Family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each others life. Richard Back

Fifty Years of Marriage & Still going Strong

My in laws just celebrated 50 years of marriage! They are so young at heart. I created this layout Club Scrap paper - Chapter One kit. It speaks for itself.

Beautiful Gift

This was my mother's day gift 2007 from my oldest daughter. A portrait of herself, my youngest daughter and my grand-daughter (at 4 months old). They know what I really like - She did good! All paper and ribbon is from Club Scrap "Beautiful" kit. Ghost flowers are Heidi Swapp, buttons and flowers from my stash. The large flowers are techniques learned from my friend Nathalia and Jenyfur - thanks ladies.
