Down to Earth

All paper supplies and stamps are Club Scrap. Fibers and lace are vintage and beads and stones are from Michaels.

I love this little accordian book. It's the message of conserving mother nature that I've tried to live by and teach my children. I managed to get 6 pictures in there of different state parks we've visited. I also have 2 journaling tags.
This book measures 3 1/4" X 3 1/4".

Bonding Bath - Club Scrap layout

All paper is Club Scrap "Stratosphere" title with the Cricut. Brads - Clubscrap and Joann's essentials.

Isabella and Me - one of our favorite activities together.

Jouraling reads:
Isabella at five months old - Nani giving you a bath is not about getting clean, it's about spending that important time with you. It's about seeing how much you have grown and how much you can accomplish. It's about looking at you and playing with you in the water. You love your bath time and I love watching you play At five months old you were able to sit in the sink by yourself and grab everything within your reach. I love you so much.

Stolen Moments

All supplies from 2 Spotted Dogs August kit, The posies (embelishments) were inspired by Gigi of One little word http://onelittleword.blogspot.com/, and Rebecca Sower http://rebeccasower.typepad.com/rs_out_of_hand/. I stalk both of these sites and get inspiration but I never submit to them.

Journaling strips:
A few stolen moments - just me and my first born. Chicago Botanical Gardens August 2007.
The baby is sound asleep, the guys have fallen behind. Just me and you.
25 Years old, a mommy, a Sergeant in the Army, home owner, working on your Masters degree and working part-time.

Don't ever give up that fighting, feisty spirit. Don't ever be afraid to speak up against injustice.
Always stand tall. Do the best you can, find peace and live life to the fullest
I am so proud of you.

Caardvarks - Eat More Fiber Challenge

Here's my entry for the Eat More Fiber Challenge. I lifted my card from the ever talented Nathalia. I copied the exact sketch she made - my fiber flower is just a little bit different.

Summer Flip Flop

Ahhhh, and summer is way to short in NW Indiana. I need a pick me up during those long winter months so I created this flip flop by cutting chipboard in the shape of a bean, running ribbon between the front and back papers of each page. I've attached different summer photos and I embellished the pages. The Idea came from Scrapbooking Memories.

All papers is Club Scrap. Just for fun.

2 Spotted Dog cyber challenge winner!

Another one I won! Again the winner is chosen at random but I still won! LOL

This one was sponsored by Diane at Two Spotted Dogs http://www.twospotteddogs.com/home.html

Diane was very generous with my winnings - and I love everything she sent me. Doesn't it say Isabella all over it? This cyber crop was in celebration of 2SD first birthday. I hope they have many, many more.

This board has been an awesome place for me to hang out. The ladies there are so nice! If you need a friend or some encouragement you should visit this board. Of coarse this is a monthly kit but I'm sure you can chat with them without any obligations.

Thank you Diane and everyone at Two spotted Dogs * YOU ALL ROCK*

Alecia's Sketch Cyber Challenge - winner

On July 29, 2007 I posted a layout I did for a cyber challenge for Two Spotted Dogs that Alecia (who is on the design team) created. The contest winner is picked at random and I was really excited that I won!

I just wanted to share what I won! Alecia has introduced us to the 6X12 size of scrapbooking. I love it. She was very generous with me! I have enclosed a picture of what she sent me and also the first l.o. with some of my winnings. She even packaged the kit with a piece of fabric softener - How sweet is that? Thank you so much Alecia - YOU ARE THE BEST!

We are back from our trip to Trego Wisconsin. Yes it was well worth the seven hour drive. We "tubed" for a little while the first night and the second day we did the thirteen mile canoe and kayaking trip. The office staff tried to encourage us to do the shorter trip - say the three hour trip instead of the 6 - 7 hour trip, but NO, we went their for this purpose and we were going to do it. Half way through our trip we wondered if we should have taken the shorter trip - LOL. This trip was amazing - pure nature and the river water as clear as can be. We were lucky enough to see a Bald Eagle amongst other wildlife. The trip itself was way to short.

Groovy

This layout is done with "Flirtini" by Pink Martini Designs. Most of papers, buttons and felt flowers came from a kit by Cocoa Daisy. Heidi Swapp large tape, flower and ghost letters. QK tabs. Just a fun l.o. Used Pencil Line Sketch #42 as a starting point.
